Blecon is an asset tracking company that brings Bluetooth and RAIN RFID together in a single operational workflow. Rather than treating these technologies as competing alternatives, Blecon enables enterprises to use both: combining the high-throughput identification strengths of RAIN with the continuous location and condition-sensing capabilities of Bluetooth.

Blecon’s tracking system consists of dual-technology tags, a software agent that runs on frontline devices, a cloud-based network and a real-time operational platform. Tags include both Bluetooth and RFID, allowing the same asset to be identified by RAIN-equipped mobile devices and tracked continuously via Bluetooth as it moves through an operation. The system supports returnable transport items, cold chain monitoring, inter-site shipments and tool and equipment tracking.

Blecon Agent runs natively on Zebra’s frontline device ecosystem, including the TC501 and TC701 series, as well as on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.
