GS1 is the industry-driven, neutral, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards that improve efficiency and visibility across value chains and sectors. GS1 is responsible for EPCglobal, and for the development of standards for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) – including UHF Gen2 – and other visibility standards.
